Situated in the heart of Martinborough Wine Village, Peppers Martinborough Hotel is a gorgeous historic retreat with rose-filled gardens and an ambience more like a home than a hotel providing an elegant setting for your wedding. Conveniently located just one and a half hours from Wellington City, Peppers Martinborough Hotel can cater for up to 100 guests and is ideal for intimate and romantic marriage ceremonies and wedding receptions. 

Our retreat offers numerous backdrops perfect for the exchanging of vows including under the boughs of the walnut tree, on the outdoor staircase leading to the verandah, the grand staircase leading to our lobby or in the elegant Waihenga Room. A relaxed cocktail style reception for 100 guests works splendidly in our garden or courtyard while banquet style receptions can be staged in our function room or restaurant, The Martinborough Restaurant & Bar.

Fine food is our forte and our talented chefs can create a special menu catering to your culinary desires, with a wide range of wines from local vineyards. All our chef’s creations are simple and classic using high quality fresh ingredients and local specialties. The menus range from a selection of large platters of canapés to banquets of several courses.

As each couple is individual and has different ideas in mind for their special day, we tailor our wedding packages to suit your needs. Our wedding coordinator will help with the planning of your day and can suggest everything from celebrants, churches and chapels to music and photographers. This is one of the most special days of your lives and we are here to ensure everything runs smoothly.

At Peppers Martinborough Hotel we can accommodate up to 32 guests in sixteen individually designed guest rooms. On the night of the wedding the bride and groom will be treated complimentary to our most luxurious room.
