The resort's onsite Rakinui Restaurant has been awarded the 2013 New Zealand Beef and Lamb Excellence Award for its tasty, skilfully composed and superbly presented New Zealand beef and lamb dishes.
The restaurant has developed a taste of the South Island on a plate, showcasing Mackenzie Country’s finest cuisine with locally sourced ingredients. Just an hour out from the resort, free range pork and venison are sourced from Pleasant Point Butchery. Salmon is sourced from High Country Salmon and free range eggs come from an organic farm in Fairlie, all less than an hour from the resort. The menu features modern New Zealand cuisine with a contemporary twist and changes regularly to ensure local seasonal produce is offered. Complimenting the menu, is a wine list featuring a wide range of award wining New Zealand wines.
